The lemonade diet is another name for the Master Cleanse diet taken from the drink used to cleanse your body. These days we keep hearing that we need to eliminate the toxins from our bodies. Well the lemonade diet is just the thing to do that. This diet is only meant to be a short term cleansing diet. The average time on the cleanse is 10 days. If you have never heard about this before we will list how to do it here.
The first thing you need to know is that the lemonade diet is a fasting diet and does not allow solid food. Check with your physician before doing it. Confirm what medicine you can safely take and which you can safely skip while on the fast.
Be advised that fasting is not everyone's cup of tea. For some it can be very hard to go without solid food for over a week. This being said here is how to do the lemonade diet.
Daily nutrients are supplied from a lemonade mix made from 60 oz of non-flouridated water for the duration of the fast. Mix in 12 Tablespoons of fresh squeezed lemon juice from organically grown lemons, a total of teaspoon of cayenne pepper or to taste, and 12 Tablespoons of Maple Syrup organic of course and Grade B.
You start your morning by flushing out your system with a saltwater mixture. Then mix the ingredients for your drink regimen into the 60 ounces of water and consume 6 - 10 ounces glasses during the day. Some have had a better experience by increasing the number of glasses consumed to 11 or 12 for the day. Also drink water in between the lemonade to help rinse you mouth of the acids in the lemonade.
Many people have reported favorable results from using the lemonade diet to cleanse their bodies. They have seen improvements in their blood sugar levels and even seen their depression improve. They have also seen a marked improvement in their blood pressure. It flushes out toxins that build up in the body, which helps purify the body. It is a most effective way to thoroughly clean out the digestive track and flush the kidneys out. It is even good for the blood stream.
After you have stayed on this for 10 days (or how many days you last on it). Go off of it. But to go off of it you need to do just citrus juices the first day and then you can introduce maybe some vegetable soup the next day. After that you can go back to eating regularly.
Stanley Burroughs created this diet in 1940. He wrote The Master Cleanse about the diet and it is still being read today. People have known for a long time about the need to detox the body.
It is advised to follow the 10 day session of the Master Cleanse program every 3 months. That will allow you to do this about 4 times a year.
